What is the North Carolina Association of Teen Democrats?
The North Carolina Association of Teen Democrats (NCATD) is the official high school auxilliary of the North Carolina Democratic Party. The NCATD is a statewide organization made up of local chapters all across North Carolina. It was founded by former Governor Terry Sanford in 1963, becoming the first state high school Democratic organization in the country. Through the NCATD, teens can play an active role in the Democratic Party and the political process.
What do Teen Democrats do?
Teen Democrats do many activities that are vital to the success of the Democratic Party. Here are just a few examples of things that people do in Teen Democrats:

Why should I join Teen Democrats?
Teen Democrats is a fun and engaging way to get involved in the political process at a young age. You can meet and socialize with other teens, while at the same time learning more about yourself. You will get to personally know important Democratic leaders and candidates. Most importantly of all, you will gain valuable leadership skills and political experience that you will use for the rest of your life. As Governor Jim Hunt once said "In North Carolina, Teen Dems become leaders!"
